As reported on our blog in December, Housing Development Center is very pleased to be working with Meyer Memorial Trust on an important new effort to improve the long-term sustainability of Oregon’s existing affordable housing. Sustaining Portfolio Strategies, part of Meyer’s refreshed Affordable Housing Initiative (AHI), will provide funds for up to 20 affordable housing providers in Oregon to receive Housing Development Center assistance with portfolio assessment, sustainability planning and implementation in the coming three years.
Last week Meyer announced the first 10 Sustaining Portfolio Strategies grant recipients. They are ACCESS, Bienestar, Central City Concern, Columbia Cascade Housing Corporation, Farmworker Housing Development Corporation, Hacienda CDC, Human Solutions, NeighborWorks Umpqua, Northwest Housing Alternatives and St. Vincent DePaul Society of Lane County. Housing Development Center is excited to begin working with these important housing providers from across Oregon, and we congratulate all applicants on their great efforts and commitment to planning for the future of our communities’ critically needed affordable housing.
