- Develop and preserve more than 5,400 units of affordable housing and over 315,000 square feet of community-facility and commercial space;
- Build the capacity of organizations to manage and sustain properties serving tens of thousands of low-income people;
- Research and implement innovative policies and practices that have produced millions of dollars in annual savings for the affordable housing industry; and
- Finance community developments with $3.22 million in low-interest loans.

About the executive director position. HDC is seeking a dynamic, committed leader with deep knowledge of the field of affordable housing and community facility development. The ideal candidate brings experience in managing staff, working with boards, and understanding the issues and opportunities of the field. He/she is a creative, strategic thinker and will have a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion. He/she will have a passion for affordable housing and an ability to lead conversations at both a policy and tactical level.
