Glisan Commons & Gilman Court

This innovative partnership among Housing Development Center and three nonprofit sponsors makes great use of an exceptional transit-oriented site. Steps from East Portland's Gateway Transit Center, the two-phase development combines a 15,432-square-foot operations center for nonprofit transit-services agency Ride Connection with 127 units of affordable housing for transit-dependent low-income seniors and working families. Glisan Commons/Gilman Court advances the goals of local and regional planning frameworks that position Gateway as a center for high-density, transit-oriented growth, while creating opportunities for Gateway’s low-income residents to share the benefits of redevelopment.
