Asset Management
Helping organizations manage their housing and community facilities for long-term community benefit
It may be appraised at $20 million; but the real worth of an affordable housing project is measured in how well—and for how long—it serves residents in need. The Asset Management Services program helps ensure that communities reap enduring benefits from investments in affordable housing. Our team works with community development organizations, housing authorities, and funding partners to strengthen faltering properties, preserve viable ones, and support the long-term financial and physical health of affordable housing and community facilities.
Use the links at right to learn about opportunities to engage in peer-to-peer support through the Property and Asset Management Working Group; enroll in an intensive asset management training course; or access direct asset management services from our expert staff. You can also read about two special initiatives launched by HDC and our partners: the Risk Mitigation Pool, which provides financial protection to housing projects serving the chronically homeless; and the Streamlining Compliance Initiative, which cuts waste in the affordable-housing finance system.
