Our policies related to remote work
Our office is located in Portland, Oregon, and our clients operate throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. HDC currently offers employees the option to work mostly from home. However, some positions require frequent in-person work, and HDC will be transitioning to a hybrid work environment in the near future. Unless otherwise specified, positions at HDC are open to candidates whose primary residence is in Oregon or Washington, or who are willing to relocate to Oregon or Washington.

Our flexible holiday policy. Rather than require employees to take time off on specific holidays, we provide each employee with an annual bank of paid holiday hours to use at times of their choosing. With this flexible holiday policy, HDC and its employees intend to communicate an inclusive respect for all cultural traditions. We believe our employees should be able to take time away from work to observe holidays and rituals that are meaningful to them. Similarly, we permit employees to work on federal holidays, and optionally to observe rituals associated with these holidays outside regular work hours, so they can reserve paid holiday time for other uses.
